Optimization of Surfactant Ultrasonic-assisted Extraction of Eleutherosides from Eleutherococcus senticosus Rhizomes

  • In this study, the Eleutherococcus senticosus rhizomes was used as raw material, and surfactant (Tween 80)-ultrasonic-assisted extraction was used to extract eleutheroside B and E. The effects of surfactant concentration, liquid-solid ratio, ultrasonic irradiation power, ultrasonic irradiation time on yield of eleutheroside B and E were investigated. The optimal extraction conditions were as follows: surfactant concentration of 0.3%, liquid-solid ratio of 20 mL·g−1, ultrasonic irradiation power of 200 W and ultrasonic irradiation time of 30 min. Compared with the traditional ethanol-water solvent extraction method, the surfactant-ultrasonic-assisted extraction has the characteristics of high eleutheroside yield and environmental protection.
